WhatsApp Night Mode:
WhatsApp has started testing a new Night Mode feature in its in-app camera. This new feature will help users capture better-quality photos in low-light conditions. At present, it is available only in the beta version (2.25.22.2) and is being rolled out to select Android users. However, the company is expected to release it for all users soon. Once available, there will be no need to depend on third-party camera apps for night photography.
Feature Details:
The Night Mode has been designed to enhance photo quality when lighting is poor. When users open the WhatsApp camera in a low-light environment, the app automatically detects the lighting condition. If low light is detected, a moon-shaped icon appears at the top of the screen. Users can tap on this icon to manually activate Night Mode.
Once turned on, the camera optimizes its settings to capture brighter and clearer photos, even in dim surroundings. This feature is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve user experience by introducing new and useful tools within the app itself.
Currently under testing, the Night Mode may be improved further before being released globally. This update reflects WhatsApp’s focus on offering more in-built functionalities, reducing the need for external apps. The feature is expected to be widely available soon, giving users a better photography experience right from within the WhatsApp camera.
